This pendant has a definite "royal" feeling to it with the interesting Iolite drops and Iolite Roundel clusters.  The necklace has individually hand-knotted Dark Blue Freshwater Pearls.  At the end of each "stem" of the Sterling Silver vine is a beautifully faceted Iolite drop.  Clusters of Iolite Roundels caress each Iolite briolette.  Iolite has a unique quality in that it appears to be slightly different colors from different angles.  The Iolite can range from a deep, purple-blue to violet, to a blue-gray.  The range of colors is perfectly highlighted in this one-of-a-kind piece.

Iolite was used by Vikings and other ancient mariners for navigational purposes.  They believed that the stone would glow in different hues when held to the Northern or Southern skies.  Other ancient cultures believed that iolite could unlock creativity in artists.

The vine pendant measures approximately 3" from top to bottom of the Iolite drop.  The vine is hand-made and created by Fair Trade Certified metal smiths. 

The necklace is approximately 16" and is adjustable with a 2" extension chain.  Shown in Sterling Silver, also available in Gold Vermeil.
